04-19-12 — Glenn W. Fields Sr., 76, of Jones Road, Olive Hill, passed away Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at his home following an extended illness.
He was born Nov. 15, 1936, in Louisville, Ill., a son of the late Paul and Phoebe Messenmaker Fields of Hobart, Ind.
Glenn is survived by his wife of 35 years, Mable Fraley Fields, whom he wed Sept. 8, 1977; a son, Glenn W. Fields Jr., of Morehead; and a granddaughter, Chloe Michelle Fields of Nicholasville. Other survivors include many other extended family members and devoted friends. A special thank you is extended to Susie Hargett for her loving care.
Glenn served in the U.S. Navy for four years and retired from U.S. Steel in Gary, Ind., and Allen Hicks Electric in Lexington. He was a member of Soldier Masonic Lodge No. 708 and enjoyed drag racing, fishing, rodeos and working on his farm.
At Glenn’s request, there will be no services.
Arrangements are under the direction of Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
