Ronnie Edward Greenhill

1943-2012

04-19-12 — Carter County Magistrate, Mr. Ronnie Edward Greenhill, 69, of E. K. Road, Grayson, passed away Tuesday evening, November 13, 2012, at his residence surrounded by his wife and children.

He was born October 23, 1943, in Carter County, a son of the late Irene Fultz Greenhill and Thurman Greenhill.

Ronnie was a member of Freedom Baptist Church of Grayson, where he served as treasurer and Assistant Sunday School Superintendent. He was a Magistrate of District No. 3 for the Carter County Fiscal Court and was chairman of the Board at Northeast Kentucky Community Action Agency, Inc. in Olive Hill. Ronnie was a member of the Willard Masonic Lodge No. 626 where he served as chaplain. He was a member of the El Hasa Shrine and the Carter County Shrine Clubs. He also delivered Meals on Wheels.

Ronnie is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary Ellen Dickison Greenhill; one son and daughter-in-law, Bryan Edward and Rebecca Bush Greenhill of Grayson; one daughter, Rene Dickison Clay of Grayson; and six grandchildren whom he loved and was very proud of, Seth, Bryana and Shawn Greenhill, and Mark, Lauren, and Tyler Clay, all of Grayson. He is also survived by one sister, Patty Frazier of Olive Hill; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary and Shirley Greenhill and Greg and Ann Greenhill, all of Olive Hill; one sister-in-law, Shelia Pennington and her husband John of Grayson; one brother-in-law, Roger Dickison and his wife Annie of Flatwoods; and nieces and nephews, Neil Frazier, Gary Dale Greenhill, Penny Maggard, Robin Greenhill, Jeniffer Meade, Tyler Greenhill, Trey Greenhill, Melissa Hamilton, Rebecca Copeland, Dee Dee Poynter and Michelle Betke. Ronnie also leaves many other family members, church family, neighbors and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, November 16, 2012, at the Freedom Baptist Church, 49 McCoy Road, Grayson, with Pastor Lyle McMicken and Brother Tim Porter officiating. Burial will follow in the East Carter County Memory Gardens in Grayson.
