July 8, 2014 — Ms. Candie Michelle Thomas, age 39, of Olive Hill, passed away Saturday evening, July 5, 2014, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
She was born November 3, 1974, in Ashland, a daughter of Brenda Seaton Thomas of Olive Hill, and the late Arthur Thomas.
Candie was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker. She enjoyed fishing, swimming, going to yard sales, helping people, and watching her children play.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Tiffany Greenhill and Whitney Greenhill.
Besides her mother, Candie is survived by two sons, Allen Ezra Greenhill and Lucian Sky Terry, both of Olive Hill; one brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Latoya Thomas of Olive Hill; three nephews, Cody Thomas, Jesse Salyers, and B.J. Thomas, all of Olive Hill; her fiancé, Samuel Wheeler of Olive Hill; and Samuel’s son, Daniel Allen Wheeler of Olive Hill. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 10, 2014, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, with Brother Charles Seagraves officiating. Burial will follow in the Hamilton-Thomas Cemetery on Christy Creek in Rowan County.
Friends may visit from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, July 10, 2014, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Highway 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164.
Allen Greenhill, Billy Thomas, Sam Wheeler, Dewayne Seaton, Joel Seaton, and Cody Thomas will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Samuel Seaton, Clifford Thomas, and Ronnie Fraley.
