6/19/13 — Margaret Lou Day Bauers, 78, of Olive Hill, passed away Saturday evening, June 8, 2013, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
She was born Oct. 21, 1934, in Olive Hill, a daughter of the late Sam and Jean Pelfrey Day.
Margaret was a homemaker, mother and friend and was retired from the Carter County Board of Education after 25 years of service.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Philip R. Bauers; a daughter, Charla M. Bauers; one sister, Lillian Rockwell; and two brothers, Herman Day and Donald Day.
Besides Charles, Margaret is survived by a son, Ronald Kevin Bauers of Olive Hill; one granddaughter, Megan Bauers of Lexington; and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves her special friend, Janet Knipp, and her best friends and special cousins, David and Phyllis Tabor.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 21, 2013, at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Olive Hill with Brother Gary Sparks officiating.
Friends may visit from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, June 20, 2013, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Highway 60, Olive Hill, KY 41164.
