Clyde Sheril James, 76, of Grayson, went to be with his Lord on Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
He was born Oct. 10, 1936, in Iron Hill, a son of the late Daniel Boone and Blanche Gee James.
He was the co-owner of James Family Outfitters in Grayson, a farmer and previously worked for Kentucky State Highway Department, Carter County Road Department and Claxon Energies.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Karen James.
His survivors include his wife of 50 years, Floris Jean Hall James; one son, Bobby and wife Carol James of Grayson; and one granddaughter, Amber James of Grayson.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Malone Funeral Home by Bill Burnett, Bud Burnett and Everett Burnett. Burial will be in the James Family Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday.
