9/16/13 — Donna Sue Henderson Bond, 67, of Olive Hill, passed away Friday evening, Sept. 13, 2013, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Ashland.
She was born Aug. 10, 1946, in Carter County, a daughter of the late Garnett "Sugar Foot" and Gertrude Workman Henderson.
Donna was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed yard sales, flea markets, dancing, Bluegrass music and spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Lonnie Henderson, Danny Henderson and Billy Henderson.
Donna is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Barb Bond of Paintsville; two daughters, Deana Daniels of Clifton, Tenn., and Mendy Gilliam of Henderson; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Sherman Henderson of St. Marys, Ohio, and Joe Larry Henderson of Olive Hill; two sisters, Brenda Henderson of Grayson and Melinda Henderson of Olive Hill; and her companion, Charles Cales of Olive Hill. She also leaves a host of extended family and friends who will sadly mourn her passing.
A Celebration of Life service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill with Brother Rick Crank officiating.
Friends may visit from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, and until the service hour Wednesday at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Highway 60, Olive Hill, KY 41164.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Breast Cancer Awareness Fund.
