11/15/13 — Sharon Faye Greenhill McCoy, 59, of Olive Hill, passed away Wednesday morning, Nov. 13, 2013, at Kingsbrook Life Care Center in Ashland.
She was born March 18, 1954, in Carter County, a daughter of the late Earl and Cora Maggard Greenhill.
Sharon attended the Olive Hill Nazarene Church and was a retired State Registered Nursing Assistant having worked at Carter Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Kingsbrook Life Care Center. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and taking care of her husband, Lonnie.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Lonnie Gene McCoy; two daughters, Michelle Lynn McCoy and Carmaleta Ann McCoy; and one brother, Lavonne Marvin "Von" Greenhill.
Sharon is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Lonnie Gene Jr. and Clara McCoy and Jonathan L. McCoy, all of Olive Hill; five grandchildren, Tiffany McCoy, Tabitha McCoy, Timothy McCoy, Stacie McCoy and Crystal Gail McCoy; one brother, Johnny Greenhill of Lexington; and six sisters and a brother-in-law, Mary and Carl Fredericks of Cincinnati, Ohio, Linda Greenhill, Brenda Greenhill and Karen Greenhill, all of Morehead, Patricia Greenhill of Olive Hill and Debbie Coons of Ashland. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill with Brother James Muncy officiating. Burial will follow in the McFerren Cemetery in Olive Hill.
Friends may visit from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, and until the service hour Saturday at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Highway 60, Olive Hill, KY 41164.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
