2/24/14 — Paul Gean Zornes, 58, of Olive Hill, died Friday at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. He was born Feb. 21, 1956, in Lewis County, a son of the late Curtis and Myrtle Littleton Zornes.
In addition to his parents he was preceded by one brother, Velmar Abrams.
Paul served as pastor at the Pleasant Valley Gospel Tabernacle, Gilberts Chapel and was Senior Pastor at the Walnut Grove Church.
He is survived by his wife, Montana Zornes; four daughters, Sabrina Zornes, Marissa Zornes and Susan Kitchen, all of Vanceburg, and Geania King of Olive Hill; two sons, Danny Pelfrey and David Pelfrey, both of Tollesboro; one brother, Junior Abrams of Indiana; and 14 grandchildren.
In addition to these, Paul is survived by a host of friends that sadly mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, at the Pleasant Valley Gospel Tabernacle in Olive Hill with Winston Lykins officiating. Burial will follow in the Henderson Cemetery in on Ky. 59 near Olive Hill.
Pallbearers will be members of the Pleasant Valley Gospel Tabernacle. Honorary pallbearer will be Dempsey Henderson.
Friends may call after 9 a.m. Monday at the church.
