01/14/14 — Ruby Sherman Click, 92, of Olive Hill, passed away Saturday morning, Jan. 11, 2014, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
She was born March 25, 1921, in Floyd County, a daughter of the late Marion and Maude Blackburn Sherman.
Ruby was a member of the Olive Hill United Methodist Church and worked as a receptionist for Dr. Paul Lewis for many years. She devoted her life to taking care of her family and in her spare time she enjoyed reading, watching UK Basketball and spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Curtis Estill Click; one infant daughter, Rita Kay Click; one granddaughter, Larissa Short; two brothers, Clyde Sherman and William "Bill Buck" Sherman; and three sisters, Sybil Olin, Iuca Hamilton and Hope Whitten.
Ruby is survived by one daughter, Francine Crank of Olive Hill; one grandson, Lance Crank of Olive Hill; and two great-granddaughters, Raven Willow Short and Summer Skye Short. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014, at Oney-Henderson Funeral Home in Olive Hill with Brother Tom Mattingly and Brother Marcus McCleese officiating. Burial will follow in the Tick Ridge Cemetery in Olive Hill.
Friends may visit from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, and until the service hour Tuesday at Oney-Henderson Funeral Home, 145 Gearhart Street, Olive Hill, KY 41164.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
