7/17/13 — Ottis "Ott" Lunsford, 66, of Soldier, passed away Tuesday evening, July 16, 2013, at his residence in Carter County.
He was born July 22, 1946, in Carter County, a son of the late Johnny and Bertha Snipes Lunsford.
Ott was retired from the Carter County School system, where he worked for 37 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Delmar Lunsford and Clinton Lunsford.
Ott is survived by his wife of 25 years, Delphia Clark Lunsford; two stepchildren, Brian Middleton and his wife Michelle and Regina Adkins, all of Olive Hill; three grandchildren, Brianna Middleton, Rebecca Grace Middleton and Macy Adkins, who was his whole world; an ex-son-in-law, David Adkins of Morehead; one god child, Courtney Owens; one special child, Jatonda Ousley; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, James Lunsford of Soldier, Thurman and Kathy Lunsford of Georgetown, Glennis and Olive Lunsford of Olive Hill and Delbert and Glenna Lunsford of Morehead; and three sisters, Lillian Cundiff of Grayson, Betty Jones of Morehead and Glenna Faye Fultz and friend Elwood of Grayson. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly mourn his passing.
At Ott’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will be at a later date.
Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill is in charge of all arrangements.
