7/8/13 — Cleadith Starl Maddix, 60, of Olive Hill, passed away Sunday morning, July 7, 2013, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 22, 1953, in Carter County, a son of the late Dennis and Katherine Brown Maddix.
Cleadith was a Christian and of the Church of God faith. He was a self-employed brick/stone mason and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Maddix and Charles Maddix; three half-brothers, Johnny Maddix, Joe Rob Maddix and Kenneth Maddix; and one half-sister, Maxine Maddix.
Cleadith is survived by his wife of 38 years, Peggy Skaggs Maddix; one son, Joshua Wayne Maddix and fiancé Stephanie Brown of Olive Hill; two daughters and sons-in-law, Deanna Ann and Brian Conley of Grayson and Jennifer Lynn and Shane Mauk of Morehead; seven grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Homer and Sandy Maddix and Gary and Janet Maddix, all of Grahn; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Ernestine Tackett of Olive Hill and Wanda and Raymond Fultz and Charleen McEwen, all of Grayson; and his mother-in-law, Joyce Skaggs of Olive Hill. He also leaves behind many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill with Brother Jerry Gifford, Brother Victor Mabry and Brother Louis Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Holbrook Cemetery in Olive Hill.
Friends may visit from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2013, and until the service hour Wednesday, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West Highway US 60, Olive Hill, KY 41164.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
