May 20, 2014 — Mrs. Glenna Mae Garvin Walker, age 77, of Georgetown, Ohio, formerly of Olive Hill, passed away Wednesday morning, May 21, 2014, at her residence.
She was born November 4, 1936, in Olive Hill, a daughter of the late Glenn and Opal Price Garvin.
Glenna was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Donald "J.D." Walker; one brother, Sam Garvin; and one sister, Janice Sue Elliiott.
Glenna is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Sharon Walker of Georgetown, Ohio; one daughter, Donna Walker of Georgetown, Ohio; four grandchildren, Jamie Howard, Jade Kearney, Jonathan Walker, and Brandon Hurley; five great grandchildren, Kayden Howard, Jemmalen Kearney, Conner Howard, Jevin Kearney, and Carson Howard; one brother and sister-in-law, Virgil and Jean Garvin of Morehead; and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2014, at Garvin Ridge Cemetery in Olive Hill, with Brother Gayle Price officiating.
Friends may visit from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2014, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Highway 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164.
