Carolyn Sue Huntsman Collins



01/23/13 — Mrs. Carolyn Sue Huntsman Collins, 56, of Orchard Avenue, Olive Hill, passed away Tuesday morning, Jan. 22, 2013, at her residence.

She was born June 25, 1956, in Mansfield, Ohio, a daughter of Raymond Huntsman and the late Bertha Rose Binion Huntsman.

Carolyn was of the Christian faith and was a teacher at Olive Hill Elementary School. She enjoyed jeep riding and canoeing with her family.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny Cecil Huntsman and Charles Wayne Binion, and a brother-in-law, Joe Nelson Collins.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 33 years, Jay Fred Collins; father and stepmother, Raymond and Nellie Ester Huntsman of Olive Hill; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenny and Teresa Binion, Johnny Ray and Connie Barker and Paul and Julie Huntsman, all of Olive Hill, and Ricky and Gail Huntsman of Grayson; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Penny and Joe Roark and Shirley and Ishmel Boggs, all of Olive Hill; a very special friend who was like a sister to her, Vicki Brown of Olive Hill; a brother-in-law, Wayne Russell Collins of Olive Hill; two sisters-in-law, Mary Lynne Reilly of Dayton, Ohio, and Joanne Collins of Canal Fulton, Ohio; a special foreign exchange daughter, Kristin Hausstein; and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill with Brother Darrell Pelston officiating. Burial will follow in the Olive Hill Memorial Park.

Friends may visit from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, and until the service hour Thursday at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Highway 60, Olive Hill, KY 41164.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Condolences may be sent to the family at
