01/02/13 — Mr. Mitchell Alan Stamper, 54, of Muncie, Ind., formerly of Olive Hill, passed away Saturday morning, December 22, 2012, in the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Ind.
He was born October 18, 1958, in Boyd County, a son of Marvin Elwood Stamper of Olive Hill and the late Carolyn Baker Stamper.
Mitchell was of the Christian faith and was retired from Borg Warner Company in Muncie after 30 years of service. He enjoyed target practice, looking at hot rod cars and watching television, especially old westerns. Mitchell was a good provider for his family and he really enjoyed spending time with them and his friends.
In addition to his father, Mitchell is survived by one son, Mitchell Alan Stamper II of Olive Hill, and one daughter and son-in-law, Meredith Leigh and Ross Carpenter of Gaston, Ind. He also leaves many other family members who will sadly mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill with Brother Adam Buckler officiating. Burial will follow in the Baker Cemetery in Olive Hill.
Friends may visit from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, December 28, 2012, and until the service Saturday at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Highway 60, Olive Hill, KY 41164.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
