12/05/13 — Agnes Montgomery, 91, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013, at Country Club Retirement Campus in Bellaire, Ohio.
She was born Dec. 13, 1921, in Grayson, a daughter of the late Jerome and Mary (Huff) Glass. She was a member of the Baptist Church in Waverly, Ohio.
Agnes was a graceful and loving homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Living in 10 different states with her husband in construction work, she sang in the church choir and taught Sunday school wherever they lived. For the past 14 years of her life, she was very involved in activities, including the chorus at Bristol Village, Waverly, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Everett D. Montgomery; a brother, Jack Glass; and five sisters, Annabelle Wilburn, Lois Wells, Elizabeth Cook, Adele Vincent and Roxie Kneisley.
Agnes is survived by her four children, Dr. Robert (Dee) Montgomery of Rolla, Mo., Linda Meholovitch of Versailles, Jeanne (Greg) Johnson of Jacobsburg, Ohio, and Judy (Harold) Leaks of Richmond, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, at the Sparks Funeral Home, 203 West Main Street, Grayson, KY 41143, by Mark Griffin, minister. Burial will follow at the East Carter County Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be Saturday, Dec. 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson.
