7/29/13 — Rebecca Jane Withrow Romans, 74, of Rush, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2013, at her residence.
She was preceded in death by her husband, whom she married on Aug. 4, 1957, Franklin Doyl Romans, on Dec.8, 2009.
She was born in Coalton on Sept. 20, 1938, daughter of the late Benjamin Harrison and Cynthia A. Allen Withrow.
Rebecca was a member of the Rush Baptist Chapel and retired from Wal-Mart store No. 1426.
Rebecca is survived by her two sons, Ernest F. (Cindy) Romans of Rush and Charles D. (Kim) Romans of Load; two daughters, Sheila (August Jr.) Rice and Angela (Tim) Baldwin, both of Rush; six grandchildren, Kathleen E. (Patrick) Brogan of Huntington, W.Va., Amanda (James) Hime of Wichita, Kan., Samantha Romans of Greenup and Jason Rice and Sarah and Hannah Baldwin, all of Rush; two great-grandchildren, Cody Lee Thomas of Olive Hill and Willow Rosalie Rice of Rush; and one sister, Anna Mae Romans of Ashland.
Including her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Charles Withrow.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at the Malone Funeral Home with Jerry Foster officiating. Burial will follow in the East Carter County Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, at the Malone Funeral Home.
