7/15/13 — Ralph "Pete" Duncan Jr., 65, of Grahn, passed away peacefully Friday evening, July 12, 2013, at his residence.
Pete was born July 10, 1948, in Carter County, a son of the late Ralph and Zelma Tackett Duncan.
He was of the Baptist faith, a retired diesel mechanic and proudly served his country in the United States Army in the Vietnam War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Blaine Duncan, and two sisters, Maxine Adams and Christine Rodgers.
Pete is survived by his wife of 42 years, Shelia Carroll Duncan; two daughters and sons-in-law, Misty and Jason Spurlock of Olive Hill and Tara and Josh Rogers of Flatwoods; and three grandchildren, Dalton Spurlock, Lindsey Spurlock and Kaden Rogers. He also leaves behind many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
A Celebration of Life service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill with Brother Delmar Rogers officiating.
Friends may visit from 5 p.m. until the service hour Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West Highway US 60, Olive Hill, KY 41164.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Grahn Community Center, 7380 Aden Road, Grahn, KY 41142.
