7/15/13 — Sandra Isaacs Sammons, 63, of Olive Hill, passed away Saturday morning, July 13, 2013, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
She was born Nov. 7, 1949, in Dayton, Ohio, a daughter of the late Otis and Thelma Aleshire Isaacs.
Sandra was a L.P.N. at the Life Care Center in Morehead with seven years of service. She enjoyed watching her son race his car, reading and especially spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 16 years, Bobby G. Sammons; one brother, Herman Isaacs; and one grandchild, Morgan Ray Cline.
Sandra is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Rita Sammons of Olive Hill; two daughters and a son-in-law, Christy Starlene and Kent Cline of Olive Hill and Susan Nora Moore of Ashland; four grandchildren, Brian Garrill Sammons Jr., Kody Garrett Cline, Caitlyn Nicole Moore and Joshua Jay Moore; and her stepmother, Wanda Faye Miller of Dayton, Ohio.
Also surviving is her partner of 23 years, Jeff Newell of Olive Hill; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Ernest and Frieda Isaacs of Dayton, Ohio, Ronnie and Beulah Isaacs of Olive Hill, Sam and Deborah Isaacs of Montgomery, Ala., Jeff Isaacs of Sand Gap and Johnny and Leslie Isaacs of Michigan; and one sister and brother-in-law, Violet "Bydee" and Don of Dayton, Ohio. She also leaves many other family members, neighbors and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill with Brother Thomas Bates and Brother Rudy Reed officiating. Burial will follow in the Garvin Ridge Cemetery in Olive Hill.
Friends may visit from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, July 15, 2013, and until the service hour Tuesday at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Highway 60, Olive Hill, KY 41164.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
