03/25/13 — Mr. Emeral Dane Roe, 49, of Tar Fork Road, Vanceburg, passed away Sunday afternoon, March 24, 2013, in St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.
He was born Nov. 30, 1963, in Rowan County, a son of Emeral and Juanita Logan Roe of Vanceburg.
Dane was a Christian, attended Mosby Church on Straight Fork and was a self-employed logger. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, old cars and spending time with his family and friends, especially his children.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Debbie Logan.
In addition to his parents, Dane is survived by a son, Taylor Dane Roe and his fiancé Meleah Zapf of Lewis County; a daughter and son-in-law, Kayla and Travis Cundiff of Morehead; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Anita and Stan McGlone of Olive Hill and Pam and Mike Butler of Bucyrus, Ohio; and the mother of his children, Risa Spence Roe of Morehead. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 28, 2013, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel in Camp Dix with Brother Danny Buckner and Brother Gary Sparks officiating. Burial will follow in the Roe Family Cemetery on Tar Fork Road in Lewis County.
Friends may visit from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2013, and until the service hour Thursday at Globe Family Funeral Chapel in Camp Dix, 7975 Lower Kinney Road, Vanceburg, KY 41179.
Taylor Roe, Stan McGlone, Travis Cundiff, Ben Horsley, Brian Ginn and Quentin Eulett will serve as pallbearers.
