Betty Ruth Bentley Reffitt

1961-2013

12/27/13 — Betty Ruth Bentley Reffitt, 52, of Township Road, South Point, Ohio, passed away Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 25, 2013, at her residence.

She was born Feb. 15, 1961, in Ashland, a daughter of the late Victor and Aline Stevens Bentley.

Betty was of the Baptist faith and was a homemaker. She loved reading, being outdoors with her husband and especially spending time with her grandbabies.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Andrew Bentley and Charles Bentley; and two sisters, Loretta Bentley and Vickie Bentley.

Betty is survived by her husband of 38 years, David Reffitt; one son and daughter-in-law, David Allen and Debbie Reffitt of Carter City; two daughters and a son-in-law, Katrina and Chris Laslo and Carrie Reffitt, all of South Point, Ohio; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; six brothers and five sisters-in-law, Keith and Stephanie Wilson and Owen and Helen Ingram, all of Ashland, Jesse Ray and Debra Bentley of Ironton, Ohio, Bobby and Cris Bentley of Kitts Hill, Ohio, and Roy Bentley and Troy and Debra Bentley, all of Coal Grove, Ohio; and four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Shirley Wilson of Ashland, Ollie and Glen Church of Coal Grove, Ohio, Cathy and Gene Church of South Point, Ohio, and Lora and Ed Anson of Ironton, Ohio. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill with Brother Gary Jordan and Brother Ed Porter officiating. Burial will follow in the Bentley Cemetery on Carter Caves Road in Olive Hill.

Friends may visit from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, 2013, and until the service hour Saturday at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Highway 60, Olive Hill, KY 41164.

Chris Laslo, Troy Bentley, Bobby Bentley, Mark Strickland, Ed Anson and Chris Arthur will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be David Allen Reffitt, Hunter Reffitt and Ethan Laslo.
