12/26/13 — Roy L. Gee, 72, of Enterprise Lane in Olive Hill, passed away Friday evening, Dec. 20, 2013, at his residence.
He was born May 5, 1941, in Carter County, a son of the late Andy and Nano Estelle Underwood Gee.
Roy was of the Apostolic faith and was a self-employed mechanic. He previously worked for Globe Funeral Chapel. Roy enjoyed fishing, talking on the CB radio and flea marketing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife, Ellen Louise Brewster Gee; one son, Phillip Roy Gee; four brothers, Eugene Gee, Tennis Gee, Daniel Gee and Van Gee; and one sister, Betty McDaniel.
Roy is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Wayne and Sandra Gee of Silver Springs, Fla.; one daughter, Amy York of Olive Hill; two grandchildren, Kevin Gee and Brooklyn York; one brother, Phillip Michael Gee of Newton Falls, Ohio; and two sisters, Freda Clark of Olive Hill and Ruby Schramm of Wilmington, Ohio. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill with Brother Bobby Day officiating. Burial followed in the Gee Cemetery on Mocabee Creek Road in Olive Hill.
Family and friends served as pallbearers.
