Feb. 06, 2012 — Bob Johnson
Bob Johnson, 72, of Grayson, passed away Wednesday February 1, at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. He was born May 1, 1939, the son of the late William Riley Johnson and Jamima Alice Seagraves Johnson Barker. He was a member of Savage Memorial Chapel in Hitchins, a US Army Veteran and member of DAV Chapter 147 in Grayson. He was employed at Northeast as a Laborer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter Tonya McGinnis; two sisters Ruth Johnson and Hazel Hall; one brother Ercil Johnson and one son-in-law John Paul Campbell, Jr.
He is survived by his wife Judy Johnson; one son Robert Joseph (Camille) Johnson of Grayson; three daughters Teresa May Johnson of Grayson, Alisa Jeanette Wright of Morehead and Rosalee (Robert) Tussey of Grayson; three brothers Everett Jr. (Norma) Barker, Johnny Ray Barker and Elijah (Rita) Barker all of Olive Hill; four sisters Joann Whitt of Grayson, Phyllis (Don) Knipp, Martha Porter and Josephine (Carl) Smith all of Olive Hill; one sister-in-law Sherry Brown of Grayson and one son-in-law Oscar McGinnis; twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, February 7, at 12 noon at Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson with Ray McGranahan and Mason Valandingham officiating. Burial followed at Veterans Cemetery Northeast. Military rites were performed by East Carter Jr. ROTC.
