Ruby Helen Stamper passed away Wednesday April 10, 2013 at the Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation in Liberty. She was 87.
Born April 19, 1925, in Krypton, she is the daughter of the late
Luther and Lena Eversole Campbell. She was an elementary school teacher for over 31 years for the Carter County Board of Education and a member of the Liberty Baptist Church.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 65 years, James
Stamper of Liberty; a daughter , Jean Blumer of Shalimar, Fla.;
two grandchildren, Heath Scott (and wife Vashti) Blumer of
Crestview, Fla., and Erin Niclole Blumer (and husband Joe
Harasimowicz) of Fort Myers, Fla.; two great-grandchildren,
Payton Isabelle Blumer and Lexi Blumer; a brother, Bert Campbell of Goshen, Ohio; a sister, Loraine Potts of Cincinnati, Ohio; three nephews, Dennis Lee (and Margie) Potts, William Clinton Potts and Gary (and Teresa) Potts; and a niece, Debbie Potts.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, James Jefferson Stamper; four sisters, Gladys Johnson, Margie Benton, Marie Sparks and Gerturde Monday; and a nephew, Tim Potts.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Saturday April 13, 2013, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Brown officiating. Burial is at Olive Hill Memorial Gardens in Olive Hill.
Visitation is Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Heath Blumer, Phil Blumer, Dennis L. Potts, William C. Potts, Joe Benton, and Murl Martin.
