04/01/14 — Harry L. Thomas, 70, of Grayson, passed away March 30, 2014, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
He was born Aug.19, 1943, in Harlan, to the late Johnny and Ruby (Blair) Thomas.
He was self-employed in construction as a drywall worker. He was a member of Eastside Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kaitlin.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Kiser) Thomas; one daughter, Andrea (Chad) Cooper of Vanceburg; five sons, John (Debbie) Thomas of Bowling Green, Howard Lee (Wendy) Thomas of Louisville, Mark (Sherry) Thomas of Edmondton and Chris Pennington and Tony Pennington, both of Grayson; five sisters, Betty Lindholm of Wheatfield, Ind., Margaret Brodrick of Warsaw, Ind., Martha (Norman) Bridegroom of Knox, Ind., Mary McCarty of Rossville, Ind., and Ross Radits of Rockledge, Fla.; four brothers, Glen Thomas of Gary, Ind., Ted (Judy) Thomas of Roselawn, Ind., Richard Parker of Maryville, Ind., and Roy L. Parker of Frankfort; and 11 grandchildren, Brandie, Jake, Allie, Noah, Chloe’, Brooklin, Sonia, Sarah, Shanda, Cassy and Ally.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at Eastside Church of Christ with Bill Bush, minister. Friends may call at the church one hour prior service. Burial will follow in East Carter County Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at Sparks Funeral Home.
