6/28/13 — Pauline Womack Kiser, 88, of Upper Tygart, passed away Thursday afternoon, June 27, 2013, at the Life Care Center in Morehead.
She was born Sept. 19, 1924, in Olive Hill, a daughter of the late Absalom and Clemmie Lee Davis Womack.
Pauline was a charter member of Bowen Chapel Freewill Baptist Church and was the oldest living member. She was a retired post master and operated the Upper Tygart Post Office beside her house for over 40 years. Pauline was a founding member of the Upper Tygart Homemakers and enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Earl S. Kiser; one grandson, Phillip Kiser; one great grandson, David Hill; and six sisters, Orael Womack, Ruby Kinney, Edra King, Mildred Greenhill, Justine Richards and Loura Bond.
Pauline is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Abby Joe and Linda Kiser of Valdez, Alaska, James Earl and Janet Kiser of Irvine and Emory Thomas and Loretta Kiser of Upper Tygart; two daughters and a son-in-law, Elizabeth Ann Conn (deceased husband Roy C. Conn) of Upper Tygart and Mary Alice and Doug Terry of Morehead; 14 grandchildren, Teresa Castillo, Timothy Kiser, William Kiser, Mark Kiser, Alan Kiser, Matthew Kiser, Michael Kiser, Danny Kiser, Melinda Frederiksen, Jeffrey Conn, Christopher Ryan Conn, Shannon Holland, Scott Kiser and Devin Terry; 14 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She also leaves many other family members, neighbors and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, July 1, 2013, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill with Brother Clyde Holbrook, Brother Jack Woods and Brother Dale Richmond officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery on Ky. 2 in Olive Hill.
Friends may visit from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013; from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday, June 30, 2013; and until the service hour Monday at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Highway 60, Olive Hill, KY 41164.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
