08/26/13 — Timothy Darrell Reeves, 46, of Olive Hill, passed away Sunday morning, Aug. 25, 2013, at his residence.
He was born Sept. 11, 1966, in Carter County, a son of the late Delbert Reeves and Virginia Lee Porter Swanigan.
Timothy was of the Christian faith and a self-employed concrete laborer. Timothy loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, loafing and loved spending time with his family, especially the children.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Wayne Reeves; one sister, Marjeana Bradley; and a step-father whom raised him, Willard "Shorty" Swanigan.
Timothy is survived by three brothers, Mathew Reeves of Olive Hill, Gregory and Merenda Reeves of Whitesburg and Joe and Donna Johns of Munice, Ind.; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Julie and James Roark of Olive Hill and Sandra Barker of Olive Hill; several neices and nephews; and special friends, Janet and Jimmy Conn ,who cared for him during his sickness. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill with Brother Clifford Reeves and Brother David Rayburn officiating. Burial will follow in the Bradley Cemetery on Dry Branch in Olive Hill.
Friends may visit from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013, and until the service hour Wednesday at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Highway 60, Olive Hill, KY 41164.
Jeff Brown, Mickey Brown, Mark Mocabee, Sid Parish, T. J. Reynolds, Bear Oney, Littleman Parish and Doug Evans will serve as pallbearers.
