12/30/13 — Gracie Delores Middleton Boggs, 77, of Olive Hill, passed away Friday afternoon, Dec. 27, 2013, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.
She was born Sept. 9, 1936, in Carter County, a daughter of the late James Middleton and Caroline Caudill.
Gracie was of the Church of God faith and a member of the Soldier Church of God. She loved sewing, cooking, yard selling, shopping and especially spending time with her family and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Calvin Boggs; one son, Keith Boggs; one daughter, Marsha Fitzgerald; five brothers, Charlie Caudill, Walter Middleton, Marshall Middleton, William Middleton and Thomas Middleton; and three sisters, Bonnie Middleton, Thelma Poling and Clyseia Kitchen.
Gracie is survived by four sons and two daughters-in-law, David Boggs of Lexington, Doug and Roselee Boggs of Olive Hill, Steven Boggs of Olive Hill and Kevin and Pam Boggs of Olive Hill; three daughters and a son-in-law, Susan Lemaster and Mary Boggs, both of Olive Hill, and Gracie and Junior Kidd of Morehead; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Duke Middleton and Stanley Middleton, both of Elliott County; four sisters, Mary Ruth Reynolds of Colorado, Sarah Jane Kegley of Elliott County and Loretta Newlen and Dolly Sadler, both of Ohio; and a special niece, Bessie Evans of Olive Hill. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill with Brother Delmar Logan Jr. and Brother Don Rivers officiating. Burial will follow in the Garvin Ridge Cemetery in Olive Hill.
Friends may visit from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, and until the service hour Tuesday at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Highway 60, Olive Hill, KY 41164.
Cody Boggs, Johnny Boggs, Mark Brown, Sean Wells, Dustin Hulett and Chris Murphy will serve as pallbearers.
