2019 Kentucky Farm Bureau Scholarship Program
The Carter County Farm Bureau has announced the 2019 Kentucky Farm Bureau Scholarship Program is now underway. Students can complete the application by downloading it at kyfb.com/scholarships and returning the requested materials to KFB, postmarked by February 25, 2019. Scholarship applications can also be picked up at the Carter County Farm Bureau office, 127 S. Hord Street, Grayson.
Free Tax Preparation
AARP will offer free tax preparation again this year at the Senior Citizens Center in Grayson. The program will start on February 5 an continue each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 9 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., until April 15. AARP membership is not required to participate. Participants should bring identification, proof of social security, and last year's return if they have one. Tax preparation will not be done on days the center is closed.

Screening of Chico ~ the Documentary, a short film by Zach Curry and Joe Whalen, followed by an acoustic performance by the film's subject, Laid Back Country Picker David Prince, 7:30 p.m. Donations of $5 to $10 are requested. Light refreshments provided.

Last day to submit entry to the Grayson Memory Days design contest. Design should be based around the theme of “Grayson – Growing but still remembering!”
Design Contest Rules: Must be original work of Artist/Designer. All 2D mediums eligible. (Example: pen, pencil, ink, painting, graphic and computer design). Size maybe 8 ½ X 11 to 14 X 17. Up to 3 submissions per Artist. Up to 6 colors maybe used. Final Design/approval by Memory Days Committee will become exclusive property of same. Design will also be used by the Grayson Area Chamber of Commerce. Winner of the design will receive $25 and official Memory Days T-Shirt, and recognition at the opening ceremonies. Parade will be held Saturday, May 25, Main Street, Grayson. Entrant’s name, address, email, and phone number should appear on all entries. No more than three entries per person.
