Morehead Police arrested an Olive Hill man Friday night and charged him with a felony DUI driving offense after he was observed spinning his tires while trying to turn onto KY 32.

Paul E. Horne, 24, was charged with DUI, third offense, and driving on a DUI suspended license, fourth offense, which is a felony, according to MPD Capt. Mike Adams. The arrest was made just before midnight.

“He was stopped after Patrolman Patrick Smith saw him spinning tires while turning right from Fraley Drive onto KY 32,” Adams told The Journal-Times of Horne’s traffic stop.

“He turned onto Interstate 64 going east and was stopped at the 138-mile marker.”

After an interview by Smith, Horne was arrested and taken to the Rowan County Detention where he is being held on a $1,500 at 50-percent cash bond.
