The Grayson Gallery & Art Center (GGAC) is having a busy month with several events in the works.

During a successful and well-attended Second Saturday Shindig, the 'Holler Down the Holler' Poetry Slam, which was held on Feb. 9. Winners were awarded $100 in prize money as follows: Cynthia Handloser (first place, with a score of 25.7); Amber Coyle took second place with 24.1 and third place, with a score of 23.8, went to Jaimeson Oakley.

Coming up on Feb. 15 will be a film screening of 'Chico ~ the Documentary,' a short film created by Zach Curry and Joe Whalen. Following the screening will be an acoustic performance by the subject of the film, the 'Laid Back Country Picker' himself, David Prince. Donations at the door ($5-$10) are requested. Light refreshments will be available.

The monthly F!nal Fr!day Art Walk will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. Feb. 22 with a free opening reception for the annual 'Peace & Love' art show & sale, featuring up to 75 original art pieces, live music by The Return Band and refreshments from Catering by Laura. In addition, henna tattoos by Maranda Knipp will be offered for $5 and up.
