We always enjoy being able to bring odd ingredients together to form a tasty dish.

A few weeks back, we found a recipe for rolls that combined ingredients that would be thought incompatible. As unsuited as certain ingredients appear to be together, somehow opposites attract, and it just works.

We have vaulted past Thanksgiving, and as unbelievable as it is, the Christmas season is now here.

When looking at sweet Christmas style recipes, it is amazing how some of the combinations blend to make delicious treats.

With the magical moments that inevitably arrive with the Christmas season, come traditions that we love to celebrate. I love a good office Christmas party. With monotony broken, we are free to simply be with our friends and coworkers and enjoy their company. These parties are a key part of the holiday experience for many of us.

When we were looking through the church cookbook recipes this week, I found a recipe that immediately reminded me of such a party. My friend Susan made a variation of our recipe this week, and upon first taste, I was hooked. I’ll be the first to admit, I didn’t believe her when she told me how she prepared them. It tasted so delectable, that the recipe seemed too simple.

The ingredient list was small but combined a few of my favorite items.

Another perk to this, most of us have these ingredients in our pantries already.

Ritz crackers, chocolate, and peanut butter.

It’s that simple.

Although this trio of ingredients may not be ones that you would consider putting together, you’ll be glad that you did. Really, it does make sense. People have been combining sweet and salty ingredients for years, and yes, it is a successful combination.

Although, this is not exactly a Christmas recipe, it can be transformed

into one. It reminds of the sort of treats that you would find around the holiday season, and I’m sure this will be a success at your office party.

With this recipe for “Ritz Cracker Cookies” by Tanya Waggoner from the Iron Hill Church of Christ Ladies Circle Cookbook, you will have the perfect guide for a fun and tasty treat. To complete this recipe, you will need the following ingredients: 1 box Ritz crackers Chocolate Peanut butter You will begin the recipe by spreading peanut butter between two crackers. Dip this into the melted chocolate of your choosing, making sure that you cover the crackers.

Place on waxed paper until cool.

I couldn’t believe how simple this recipe was. Not only that, but it was delicious. The salty and the sweet compliment each other so well on this dish.

Perhaps one of the neatest things about this recipe is the customization options. It would be rather simple to decorate these in a Christmas style.

You could use red and green sprinkles, or any other decoration of your choosing.

This dish is very cost effective and produces a large yield. Whether you prepare these for others, or go solo, do yourself a favor and enjoy this treat.
