Citizens of Pleasant Valley turned out for the Olive Hill City Council meeting on Tuesday evening to express their concerns about the city's plans for a corridor annexation of property owned by John Clark Oil. The planned annexation would allow the gas station to apply for a license to sell alcohol. Previous plans for the installation of a sewage drain, that also drew controversy, would have allowed the development to send effluent to Olive Hill's sewage system for treatment. However those plans were cancelled, with the company opting for an on-site sewage treatment system instead.
