Sept. 25, 2013 —
Moore takes the blame for the loss, saying he did not prepare his kids well enough against the Bulldogs.
“I’m responsible for that W or that L,” Moore said. “If our guys don’t perform well, I’m not going to pass the blame on to them. I did something along the way where I didn’t have us prepared. I think our scheme was sound but we didn’t execute well. It comes back on me.”
But the silver lining, if any, from last week is the start of district play this week when East Carter hosts Mason County.
“We’re still all in,” Moore said. “We’re not going to hit the panic button. We’ve got to learn from our mistakes and build on our success. Every week from here on out, we’re fighting for our lives. We want to play in the postseason and every week is going to be a fight and we have to win those fights.”
