We are a few hours away from the month of May, where champions are made.

Ashland seems to be separating themselves from the rest of the pack, winning 10 of their last 13, including a three-hour, 40 minute contest against Boyd County last week. Greenup County is making a run at a district crown but Lewis remains in the hunt. Morgan County makes a return to the Crazy 8 after winning three straight this past weekend.

1. Ashland (16-7)

2. Boyd County (14-9)

3. Raceland (14-8)

4. Rowan County (16-11)

5. East Carter (17-8)

6. West Carter (8-9)

7. Fleming County (9-11)

8. Menifee County (11-14)

How about my alma mater, the Lady Rams? They have won 13 of their last 15 contests to boost a jump to No. 3 in this week’s rankings.

We will found out how real they are with four big games this week including one with Ashland and West Carter. East Carter takes a tumble after a surprising loss to Fairview last week. They will square off with their rival Lady Comets on Friday.
