Comets drop season finale to Paintsville

Nov. 6, 2013 —

Paintsville finished the regular season with a winning record, the first time that has happened since the 2008 season when they were 6-6.

“They’ve had the kind of turnaround that we needed to have this year,” Brown said. “Because of injuries and other things we weren’t able to do so.”

The Comets now head into the offseason with plenty of optimism after the season they had a year ago.

“We get most of everybody back for next year and be more experienced than they were this year so that should bode well for us,” Brown said. “We’ll start lifting weights next week. We’re going to work hard and be a lot better next year.”
