Nov. 14, 2012 — More than two months of gutting out top finishes came to an end this past Saturday for the East Carter boys and girls cross country teams.

After qualifying as a team, the Lady Raiders took home a 14th place finish at Kentucky Horse Park over the weekend.

Individually, two East runners made their presence felt among the 231-competitor field. For the females, junior Macy Dyer ended the race in a notable 15th place, with a finishing time of 20:28.

Collectively, East Carter had three females break the top 100, with Kady Chaffin and Madison Dyer joining Macy Dyer at 64th in 22:07 and 93rd in 22:45.

Other finishing times for the Lady Raiders include Delancey Morse 133rd in 22:39, Kristian Jordan 145th in 23:57, Megan Suttles 163rd in 24:37 and Shayla Henderson 202nd in 26:11.

Blue and white also found success on the boys side, with lone-competitor Ben Napier tallying a final time of 19:57, good enough for 145th.

Dyer’s 15th-place finish was good enough for second from the area behind Mason County’s Rheagan Sizemore who ended the day just 19 seconds better.
