After 11 weeks of action, the Kentucky high school football playoffs are finally here. With the excitement of playing at Western Kentucky University at the state championships all around the state, teams begin their march in the postseason to play in their respective classes.

The only undefeated team in the area Mason County capped off a perfect regular season last Friday with a 34-21 win over Scott High School. Raceland defeated Ironton 17-0 for their 500th win in school history.

With the KHSAA ruling on the Fairview Eagles playing with an eligible player, they forfeited 18 games, include four this season, dropping their overall record to 5-5 as they defeated James N. Gamble Montessori in Cincinnati. They will also be out for the postseason for 2013.
