The Knights lost a heartbreaker to Cincinnati Christian in the championship of the Mid-East Region 67-66 on Saturday, but it wasn't the last game for the 2008 seniors. The Knights managed to receive an at-large bid from the NCCAA to the National Tournament in Springfield, Mo. KCU, 26-9 on the season, was rewarded for the success it has had this season.
The Knights will be the No. 5 seed in the tournament and will play No. 012 Crown (Minn.). This game will take place on Tuesday, Mar. 10 at 8 p.m. Fellow Mid-East Region member CCU is the top seed in the national tournament.

Four Knights were honored as member of the All-Mideast Region team. Akeem Scott was a first-team All-Region selection, Matt Hackenberg and Demarius Gulley were honored as second-team members. Coach Will Shouse received co-Coach of the Year along with CCU’s Mark Harden.
