Bryan Keith Manning

1964-2009

OLIVE HILL - Bryan Keith Manning, age 44, of Olive Hill, went home to be with the Lord, Friday morning, August 21, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.

Mr. Manning was born, December 22, 1964, in Carter County, a son of the late Norman Manning and Lillian Porter Manning Coates.

Bryan was a truck driver with Robert D. Porter Trucking in Olive Hill, and was of the Christian faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Ralph Coates; two brothers, Tommy Manning and Jerry Dale Manning.

Bryan is survived by his wife of twenty four years, Claudette Evans Manning; two daughters and a son-in-law, Erin and Jonathan Mocabee and Margie Jo Manning all of Olive Hill; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Carroll and Judy Manning, Vint Manning and his companion Kim Stamper, and Jean Manning, all of Olive Hill; one sister and brother-in-law, Collean and Edward Rayburn of Olive Hill; two grandsons, Andrew Mocabee and Zackary Mocabee both of Olive Hill; a life long friend, Eric Jones and his wife Renee. He also leaves several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends who will sadly mourn his passing.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 24, at the Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, with Brother Edward Jones and Brother Rex Sagraves officiating. Burial followed in the Manning #1 Cemetery on Greenbriar Rd in Carter County.

Eric Jones, Seth Hollingsworth, Shannon Porter, Scotty Thompson, Danny Knipp and Sheldon Mocabee served as pallbearers.

Darby Thomas, Randall Porter and Randall Tackett served as honorary pallbearers.

Joel Christian “Chris” Easterling

1966-2009

GRAYSON - Joel Christian “Chris” Easterling, 42, of Grayson, passed away Friday August 21, at his home.

He was born October 1, 1966 in Danville, a son of George S. and Joan (Womack) Easterling of Oldtown.
