Jan. 5, 2011 — Regan Leigh Arnold

1993-2011


    RUSSELL – Regan Leigh Arnold, 17, of Russell, KY, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2011, at her residence. She was born December 25, 1993, in Lexington, KY, a daughter of Paul Evan, Jr. & Kimberly Ann Flaugher Arnold of Russell.

    Regan was a Junior at Russell High School, where she was on the track team and the volleyball team. She was a member of the Bridges Christian Church in Russell, and was very active in the youth group.

    Surviving in addition to her parents are 2 brothers, Jared Blake Flaugher and Landon Clay Arnold both of Russell, KY, Maternal grandparents, Woodford & Phyllis Flaugher of Grayson, Paternal grandparents, Paul Sr., & Ann Arnold of Lloyd, grandmother, Kathleen Allen of Lloyd, KY.

    Funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 5, 2011, at the Bridges Christian Church, 1402 Kenwood Drive, Russell, KY, by Mark McKinney, Minister. Visitation will be from 12noon till service time Wednesday at the church. Burial will follow in the Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods, KY. Arrangements under the direction of the Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel, Ashland, KY.

Billy Ray Barker

1929-2010


    OLIVE HILL- Mr. Bill Ray Barker, age 81, of Miami, Florida, formerly of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Friday, December 17, 2010, at Larkin Community Hospital in South Miami, Florida.  He was born December 9, 1929, in Access, Kentucky, the son of the late William Floyd and Bertha May Barker. Graveside services were held Thursday, December 30, 2010, at Barker Cemetery in Olive Hill, Kentucky. Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky, is in charge of arrangements. Cecil Eugene Callihan

1914-2011


    GRAYSON - Cecil Eugene Callihan, 96, passed away Sunday, January 02, 2011 at his home in Grayson, KY. He was born May 7, 1914 at Pactolus, KY, the son of the late Edward and Hannah Jane Gholson Callihan. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 63 years Alene “Cricket” Waggoner Callihan; an infant son, Cecil Eugene Callihan Jr.; a great grandson Devin Brian Gilbert; two brothers Carl and Ollie Callihan; five sisters, Ina Kouns, Margaret Ward, Louella Botts, Grace Waggoner and Bess Womack.

    He is survived by three daughters: Nancy Jane and Jim Fankell of Grayson, KY, Carolyn Sue Horseman of Dalton, GA, and Marilyn Rose and Larry Matiz of Wheelersburg, OH, eight grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter, and a special friend Hazel Calhoun.

    He was a member of the First Church of Christ, Grayson and Trimble Lodge #145 where he was Chaplin for 25 years and a 1934 graduate of Prichard High School. He was employed at several business including Womack Southern States, Justice IGA, Ben Franklin and Woods Family Center. He served his country during WWII in the Army with 6th Armored Division in 76th Medical Battalion.

    Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Malone Funeral Home by Terry Yankey, Paul Schmidt and Gary McClain officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. Burial will be in the Grayson Memorial Burial Park. Condolences may be sent to the Callihan Family at www.malonefuneralhome.com.
