Oct. 30, 2013 — The Journal-Times received notification Wednesday that the Kentucky Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control has two vacancies for quota package liquor licenses in Grayson.
The legal notice is printed in the October 30 issue of the Journal-Times. Applications for the licenses will be accepted for 30 days following publication. The notice appears on Page D-1.
According to ABC spokesperson Trey Hieneman, only two licenses will be granted within the city limits based on population.
To date, eight alcoholic beverage license applications have been submitted to the ABC by the city. A total of 12 have been received by the city.
Clark's Pump and Shop BP, Marathon, and Shell all are selling packaged beer as of Monday.
Bayso's Pub on Hord Street is slated to be the first business to sell alcohol by the drink. It is scheduled to open by Nov. 5.
