Grayson man arrested for shooting car


May 8, 2013 — A Grayson man was arrested Thursday night after an apparent domestic dispute escalated to shots being fired.

According to police reports, Billy D. Collins, 30, was in an argument with his live-in girlfriend in the parking lot of Kentucky Automotive Center on C.W. Stevens Blvd. on Thursday evening.

Collins allegedly struck the woman before shooting a handgun into her vehicle as she fled on foot.

Collins was later located at DC Tattoo and arrested. He is currently being held in the Carter County

Detention Center on four counts of wanton endangerment (one count for each shot allegedly fired) one count of fourth degree assault, and one count of public intoxication.

Collins was arraigned in Carter District Court on Monday.
