Rattlesnake Ridge Genealogy Fair this weekend

Oct. 23, 2013 — The semi-annual Rattlesnake Ridge Genealogy Fair will be held this Saturday, Oct. 26, starting at 9 a.m. at Rattlesnake Ridge Community Center.

“We are concentrating on one family per year and this year we are working on the Barker family,” said event coordinator Vicki Gilbert. “At this fair we will have a printout of what we already have, along with photos.”

Anyone with information on the descendants of Hezekiah Barker is asked to attend or send their information via email to vicgilbert@yahoo.com.

The genealogy group hopes to have the book completed and ready to sell at the April event.

In the spring, the group completed a book on the Carroll family and a few copies remain available.

Information on other families as well as resources also will be shared at Saturday's event.

The meeting is free and open to the public. Lunch will be available for a donation.
