Grand jury indicts 5

Sept. 11, 2013 — A Carter County grand jury handed down five indictments on Aug 23.

Jeannie Rowe, 27, and Kevin Galloway, 36, both of Grayson, were indicted on one count of first degree possession of a controlled substance.

According to the indictment, Grayson police officer Jason Hall arrested the two individuals on Sept. 14 of last year for having methamphetamine in their possession.

Also indicted were:

Michael Ludwig, 35, of Grayson, on one count of second degree burglary, a Class C felony.

Justin Whitt, 24, of Grayson, on four counts of first degree possession of a forged instrument, a Class C felony, for possessing counterfeit $20 bills and presenting them to businesses.

Brenda Clevenger, 54, of Grayson, on five counts of second degree possession of a forged instrument, a Class D felony. She allegedly cashed five checks totaling $7,750.

The indictment of a person by a grand jury is an accusation only and that person is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
