Journal-Times

Aug. 14, 2013 — A Hitchins man was seriously injured Sunday night when his motorcycle crashed into a car.

Billy Hall Jr., 33, was traveling on his motorcycle on old 773 when an oncoming vehicle turned into his path. Hall was unable to stop and t-boned the car.

The accident happened around 8:45 p.m. Sunday. The Carter County Sheriff's Department, along with Hitchins Fire Department and Carter County EMS responded to the scene. Heavy fog may have been a factor in the accident, and prevented the emergency helicopter from landing near the scene.

Hall was transported to the ambulance barracks in Grayson and then flown to UK Medical Center.

Hall had extensive injuries to his leg and arm but was wearing a helmet when the accident occurred. Witnesses say he was awake after the accident.

He is currently listed in fair condition.
