Holy Rollers toy drive Dec. 15 & 16

Dec. 5, 2012 — The fifth annual Holy Roller toy drive will be held Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 15 and 16 with two locations.

The first location will be at the Carter County Detention Center. The group will be set up, Saturday Dec. 15 and Sunday Dec. 16, as families arrive for their weekend visitation sessions at the Detention Center.

The second location will be the Holy Rollers clubhouse, which is located between K-Mart and Smithfield (there will be signs). This portion of the giveaway will be Saturday Dec.15 beginning at 10 a.m.

In order to keep up with the group's records, and to assure that they are able to reach as many families as possible, the Holy Rollers are asking that one of the following items be provided; Government ID (Medical card ,with child's name and birthdate) or a copy of Birth Certificate.

Toys will be given in this order according the the parent or guardian's first initial of the last name:
10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. letters A,B,C,D-X,Y,Z
Noon to 1:30 p.m. letters E,F,G,H-,U,V,W
2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. letters I,J,K,-R,S,T
4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. letters L,M,N,O,P,Q

For the clubhouse giveaway there will be five age groups set up in different rooms. Each child will receive two tickets and each age group will have a different color ticket. Children can only choose from their age group room and must show the ticket.

The age groups are as follows: 
Room one: birth - 2 yrs.
Room two: 3-5 yrs
Room three: 6-9 yrs
Room four: 10-13yrs
Room five: 14-17yrs

There is no type of documentation needed for the Detention Center giveaway. Any child that is visiting a parent  during the weekend visitation will receive a gift.
