Body found in submerged vehicle

May 7, 2014 — The body of Enoch H. McGinnis, 73, of Beetle was found Friday morning inside his submerged vehicle in Little Fork Creek off McGinnis Road near KY 1122.

Carter County Coroner George Sparks confirmed the man’s identity.

He said the body would be transported to the state medical examiner’s office in Frankfort for an autopsy.

It appears the car was swept off a low water bridge during heavy rains, according to first responders on scene.

Family members had been searching for McGinnis since Wednesday but his vehicle was not visible until the creek began receding.

Responding to the scene along with the coroner were Grayson Dive Team, Kentucky State Police, Carter County Emergency Management, and Webbville Fire Department.

KSP Sgt. Ben Cramer is the investigating officer.
