New Kentucky pictorial available

May 7, 2014 — The Grayson Journal-Enquirer, Olive Hill Times and 10 other Kentucky newspapers are pleased to announce the publication of “This Is Kentucky: Keepsake Images of the Bluegrass State”.

Copies of the full color, 136-page, limited edition collection of photographs about contemporary life in Kentucky are available at the newspaper office or can be purchased with an order form appearing on Page D-5 of today’s issue.

“We are pleased to make this wonderful new compilation of great pictorials available just in time as the perfect gift for Mother’s Day or high school and college graduations or Father’s Day,” said Keith Kappes, publisher of the Journal-Times. “We believe it will become a treasured keepsake of the people and places that make life so special in our state.”

Kappes noted that the book represents a joyful collaboration of the editors and photographers of the 12 Kentucky newspapers owned by Community Newspaper Holdings, Inc.

“We’ve been proudly publishing hometown newspapers for upwards of 150 years and our photographs tell beautiful, inspiring and even funny stories about the real people of Kentucky,” he added.

The book includes photographs which were published previously in the Journal-Times.

“This Is Kentucky” was produced by Pediment Publishing.
