Myers arrested for burglary

Dec. 12, 2012 — Grayson police say a string of home and car burglaries has come to an end.

Ryan D. Myers, 19, of Grayson, was arrested on Thursday and charged with two counts of second degree burglary.

Grayson Police Chief Ed Ginter said that several break-ins had occurred in Grayson within the last 45 days.

Also, theft from unlocked cars and some attempted break-ins had been reported.

“We feel confident that Myers will have a few more charges before it is all over and the break- ins will slow down,” Ginter said. “Hopefully, people will feel a little bit safer with this man facing charges.”

Statistically, Ginter says he always sees an increase in burglary between Thanksgiving and New Year’s.

Myers is being held in the Carter County Detention Center on a $15,000 cash bond.
