Fiscal Court approves budget, pay raises

June 27, 2013 —        Carter Fiscal Court met in special session Wednesday to approve the second reading of the 2013-2014 fiscal year budget and approve pay raises for Court employees.

The Court unanimously approved the budget for the upcoming year, which details $5,256,108 in total appropriations – a $98,354 decrease from last year's budget.

A five percent pay raise for all Fiscal Court employees was also unanimously approved. Among those receiving a pay bump are the Court's office staff, custodial workers, road department employees, jail personnel and emergency dispatchers.
